Sports shoe with blow molded soles
Xinrui Plastics Technology Co. Ltd uses several KCC machines to produce shock-absorbing soles for sports shoes.
In the past, the TPU soles were aerated with nitrogen and manufactured using the standard monolayer process. A well-known American sports brand used them in its shoes. In order to improve their durability, Kautex Maschinenbau helped Xinrui Plastics to convert to a 4-layer process. This produced a significant reduction in outward nitrogen permeation and resulted in a longer life for the shoe.
To date, the company has produced over 6 million shock-absorbing soles on its four double station KCC10 D machines. Pan HanYu, General Manager of Xinrui Plastics, explains why he chose Kautex Maschinenbau: "Of course Kautex has an excellent reputation in the extrusion blow molding industry, but it also provided us with customized technology to meet our specific requirements. The 4-layer process means we have been able to make some major improvements to our product."
