Our Answer starts with: People
Behind every innovation, every machine, every service — there are people. They are the heart of Kautex. Their ideas, expertise, and commitment make everything we do possible: precision, reliability, progress — and trust.
The People Behind Kautex
For more than 90 years, Kautex has been a place where technology meets values. But even the best technology is only as strong as the people who design it, operate it, service it — and push it forward. That’s why we say: Kautex isn’t a machine builder with employees — it’s the people who make Kautex what it is.
We are engineers. Inventors. Listeners. Doers.
We are a team with 90 years of history — and a clear view of the future.
We believe in solutions. In progress. In partnership.
Because the future needs origins.
We are THE Kautex.
In this section, we give our team members a voice — with real stories, behind-the-scenes insights, and authentic perspectives. Our culture doesn’t live in process charts or mission statements — it lives in the people who shape it every day with passion and purpose.
Whether they’ve been with us for decades or are just getting started, whether they work in engineering, service, production, or administration — they all embody what we stand for: closeness, competence, commitment. Their stories show what it means to work at Kautex — and why they choose to build the future with us.
Because: The future is built by those who take responsibility — with courage, with ideas, and with unity.Welcome to Kautex. Welcome behind the scenes.
I joined Kautex in 2014 – quite by chance: a pregnant school friend offered me her job when we ran into each other at the butcher’s. I started as a Sales Assistant for North and South America as well as Spain – and later for Asia – and soon became involved in shaping the transformation of our sales organization and leading a team.
To me, Kautex means finding solutions together – even when things get tough. What makes my work special is that I often bring in the emotional perspective. That’s what really helps drive change – and, funnily enough, it’s what led me into process management in the end.
Growing up just a few hundred meters from the Kautex plant, I’ve gone from a fascinated child watching the machines to an electronics technician proud to be part of a company defined by innovation and unity.
I grew up in Holzlar – just a few hundred meters from the Kautex plant. As a kid, I was fascinated by the trucks, the forklifts, and the massive machines being loaded. The Kautex “K” was everywhere – on rain barrels in the garden, on carnival piggy banks, and throughout the neighborhood.
In 2013, I proudly started my apprenticeship as an electronics technician at Kautex. More than ten years later, blow molding technology still excites me every single day. It’s a great feeling to help customers keep their machines running. What makes Kautex truly special? The sense of unity – among colleagues, customers, and suppliers.
My Kautex story began 35 years ago with an apprenticeship as an energy electronics technician – without any idea how profoundly that choice would shape my life. Today, Kautex is far more than a company to me; it’s a key chapter of my personal journey, filled with experiences and friendships that could fill volumes. What excites me is seeing the technologies we develop here pop up all over the world – in vehicles, shops, and countless everyday products. Plastics play a crucial role by making parts lighter, more durable, and often more sustainable when other materials reach their limits. No two days are alike: every project is unique, international, and gives me the rewarding feeling that the work we do benefits people globally – a perspective that’s reinforced each time I travel for Kautex.
The international scope, the diversity of applications, and working closely with our customers make my job truly special.
My Kautex journey started back in 2001 – with a friendly conversation about a then brand-new apprenticeship: mechatronics technician. More than 20 years later, Kautex has become more than just a workplace for me – it feels like a second family. Over time, many colleagues have become real friends, and we’ve shared both highs and lows – just like in a good marriage. I’ve always been fascinated by German engineering and the complexity of our blow molding machines – being part of the process from idea to finished system is something I’m proud of. The international scope, the diversity of applications, and working closely with our customers make my job truly special.
What I truly appreciate about Kautex is the constant opportunity for growth
My journey at Kautex began in 2012 with an apprenticeship in industrial business administration – and I’ve been part of the Kautex family ever since.
Kautex is the place where I grew up professionally. Here, I was able to grow, try new things, learn a lot, and find my very own path into the working world.
From spare parts sales to retrofit, through PMO, and now in HR – I’ve had the chance to explore many departments and discover my professional passion.
What I truly appreciate about Kautex is the constant opportunity for growth – whether it’s support for part-time studies, further training, or a new internal role where you learn by doing.
Working with my colleagues is rewarding both professionally and personally. Working together, celebrating together – that’s real team spirit!
I would choose Kautex again in a heartbeat.
With the support of Kautex, I completed a part-time training program to become a certified technician.
I started my professional journey at Kautex in 2017 with an apprenticeship as an electronics technician, which I successfully completed in 2021. Building on this strong foundation, I first worked in final assembly, where I was responsible for the installation and commissioning of our production equipment both at our Bonn site and directly at customer facilities worldwide. This role gave me valuable hands-on experience with our machines in real operating environments and a deep understanding of customer requirements.
In parallel, and with the support of Kautex, I pursued a part-time advanced training program and graduated as a certified technician in 2025. This combination of practical experience and technical expertise allows me to approach challenges from both an operational and an engineering perspective.
Since 2022, I have been part of the electrical design department, where I contribute to the continuous technological development of our machinery. My focus lies in creating innovative, customer-specific and process-critical functions that not only enhance machine performance but also generate measurable added value for our clients. What excites me most is the opportunity to actively shape solutions that improve efficiency, strengthen reliability, and drive forward innovation in close collaboration with our customers.
Kautex has always felt like home to me – with great colleagues and a work atmosphere I truly appreciate.
My journey with Kautex started with a visit to the local career orientation fair hosted by ArGE. I was interested in becoming an electrician or electronics technician and applied to several companies in the Bonn/Troisdorf area. In 1989, I received an apprenticeship offer from Krupp Kautex – a company with a strong reputation. The saying was: “Join Kautex, and you’ll grow old there.”
Kautex has always felt like home to me – with great colleagues and a work atmosphere I truly appreciate.
What has always fascinated me: Kautex has been a pioneer. We’ve done what others didn’t dare – complete solutions, new technologies, turning the impossible into reality. That’s what makes this job so exciting and diverse.
A personal highlight was my three-year stay in the U.S. in the mid-1990s – during the peak of the 6-layer PFT boom in the automotive industry.
Over the years, Kautex has given me so many opportunities to grow, learn, and take on responsibility.
What I particularly value is that Kautex is a flexible employer that allows me to balance work and private life well.
Since 2013, I have been working in Service at Kautex – and even after more than twelve years, the work is still varied and exciting.
I have had the opportunity to go on around 84 business trips to about 10 different countries, getting to know around 20 customers and implementing exciting projects – from crash tests at VW to machine conversions in Korea to longer assignments in the USA.
What I particularly value is that Kautex is a flexible employer that allows me to balance work and private life well.
Over time, colleagues have become friends, and since 2023 I have been a permanent member of the works council.
What motivates me is taking on new challenges and discovering the world – ideally with enough time to also explore local sights.
