Applying the principle of “right-weighting,” we enable sustainable customer products. Together with our partners, we close the Kautex Loop — a sustainable circular economy. We make this loop traceable by producing PIR and PCR plastics with our machinery and strive for maximum automation to reduce energy consumption and emissions.
Our R-Cycle membership
A functioning circular economy requires more than just quality recyclates – it needs transparent data. As a member of the R-Cycle community, Kautex supports the digital product passport that records all recycling-relevant packaging properties. This enables precise identification during sorting – and makes real recycling a reality.
Using PCR – Sustainable by Design
PCR is not leftover industrial scrap – it’s recycled plastic waste from households, giving materials a second life. Our goal is to make PCR usage not only feasible, but efficient and reliable.
In our Technikum, we develop and test solutions for foamed and multilayer PCR processing – in collaboration with material suppliers and customers. With technologies like ReCo3 and advanced layer design, we reduce raw material usage by up to 18%, lower CO₂ emissions, and ensure 100% recyclability.
Thanks to this approach, we bridge the gap between recyclability and high-performance production. Whether it’s for packaging, technical parts, or high-volume containers – we show that PCR is more than a compliance strategy. It’s a competitive advantage.
