Accumulator heads from Kautex are ideal for producing large, thick-walled, or technically demanding hollow parts – such as fuel tanks, IBC containers, surfboards, spoilers, or kayak shells. When long parison lengths or tough materials are involved, discontinuous extrusion is the superior process.
In this method, the melt is not extruded continuously but stored in a FIFO accumulator and then discharged in a single pulse. This results in minimal sagging, excellent wall thickness control, and consistent melt homogeneity – all critical for maximizing your productivity and product quality.
