The KBS Series is the most versatile and scalable Platform in the Kautex Portfolio.
Designed for a wide range of applications across automotive, industrial packaging, and specialty products, it adapts seamlessly to diverse production requirements. From plastic fuel tanks, liners, and drums to flat products and even kayaks up to 3.5 m in length, the KBS offers almost limitless possibilities.
Its modular design allows manufacturers to configure the machine precisely to their needs: continuous or accumulator head technology, mono to 7-layer CoEx, single or double station setups, shuttle machines or robot machines. Beyond that, the system supports complex part handling and even the integration of components into the parison before blowing is done— unlocking new levels of efficiency and product innovation.

Continuous Co-Extrusion – Handle even the most demanding applications with up to 7-layer co-extrusion heads, delivering throughputs of up to 1,300 kg/h and die diameters of 600 mm. The result: high-volume capacity with premium parison quality.
Accumulator Heads – Benefit from buffer volumes of up to 150 liters with our FIFO (First-In-First-Out) concept. This guarantees efficient material flow, consistent melt quality, and reliable performance for large-part production.
PWDS & SFDR Integration – Optimize your material usage with advanced wall-thickness control. PWDS and SFDR technologies ensure homogeneous article walls, reduced material waste, and consistently high product quality.

Extrusion Concept
Chose according to your needs continuous or discontinuous extrusion. High-output co-extrusion heads deliver up to 7 layers, 1,300 kg/h throughput, and premium parison quality, while accumulator heads with up to 150 L buffer volume ensure consistent melt flow and reliable performance in large-part production.
Suction Blow Molding Technology
Perfect for pipe- and channel-shaped articles, suction blow molding offers a smarter way to produce complex geometries. The process delivers seamless, more durable parts with significantly less scrap -a win for both quality and sustainability.
Flying Knives Technology
Specially designed for flat panels, the “Flying Knife” allows rapid mold closing, reducing cycle times and preventing parts from freezing in the mold. The result: higher productivity and flawless part formation.
Layout
KBS Machines gives you complete freedom in designing your production line. Choose between single- or double-station machines with either a compact mono-layer platform or a flexible CoExtruision design tailored to your products. Handling can be configured for maximum efficiency with robotic transfer or linear systems for parison handling and article take-out. And with fully integrated devices and post-processing options – from inline deflashing to part insertion into an unblown parison – your layout can be customized to deliver exactly what your process requires.
C3LS® Technology
The C3LS® process is purpose-built for next-generation fuel tank production. Delivering 40 – 45 tanks per hour, it ensures high productivity and consistent quality. At the heart of the technology is an industrial robot-based system, enabling fast product changes and even process adjustments in record time – switchovers can be completed in as little as four hours. For manufacturers, this means greater flexibility, shorter downtimes, and the confidence to respond quickly to changing market demands.
