Data security, even with remote maintenance
Users of Kautex machines can play it safe with the remote maintenance service from Kautex Maschinenbau. A VPN server transmits the data between the blow molding machine and the technicians, in this way avoiding the typical risks that arise when setting up an external connection. Smart cards attached to the router serve as hardware certificates and also increase security by means of a pin code. Sensitive project data is saved locally. The Kautex technicians only select those inquiries that are relevant to their particular service request.
All the machine’s control modules can be operated and modified by the remote maintenance routines. This even applies to complex process controls and includes access to the machine’s controller. It is not necessary to make any changes to the IT infrastructure.
